This magnificant White Rhino had just been rolling in mud beside a semi dry river bed.  When the mud is dry, the Rhino will scratch itself energetically against a tree stump or trunk to get rid of parasites. Rhinos wallow in mud to protect their skin from the sun, to cool off and to ward off parasites.
